Luminary Basics – Workshop 1 or 2

Class Description:  Make an illuminated star or other simple form to bring a magical warmth to your hearth, campsite, or to Olympia’s 2015 Illuminated Procession (April 24th).
Luminaries are constructed from matchstick bamboo or round reed, paper, and glue. You’ll learn how to frame, paper, mount, and illuminate your creation. Materials, tools, and battery-powered LED lights will be provided.
We need to keep attendance fairly balanced but the instructor may allow some limited “mixing and matching” of dates.

Youth 12 and over are welcome but must be accompanied by parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop.  Parents: please register both you and your child if you both wish to make a luminaria. Thank you!
