Materials provided by student: A dremle tool, wood burning tool, (both optional) (set up table near outlet), fine point sharpies

Class Description:  You will take a pre-bored, pre-tuned square piece of local Red Cedar and shape it using simple tools and sandpaper and bring it to life with your creative hands and your choice to carve, wood burn or paint a design that comes from your ancestors or from something that speaks to you that day. I will teach you how to make it sing (no musical experience is required) using your sacred breath and what comes from your Heart.

Notes: All classes take place at the Arbutus Folk School 610 4th Ave. E., Olympia, WA 98501. Classes will be canceled if minimum number of students are not registered. Registering early helps us prepare and offer the highest quality experience for everyone and there is no risk: Full refunds are provided if classes are canceled.   The Arbutus Folk School proudly admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
