Class Description:   An introduction to ceramics for young and not-so-young alike. We will be emphasizing three hand-built pottery techniques – pinch, slab, and coil – and pottery wheel. Projects can be tailored to student’s interest. Students will be encouraged to explore surface textures and glaze techniques, and each lesson will be peppered with humor and individual expression. Please note that anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Notes: All classes take place at the Arbutus Folk School 610 4th Ave. E., Olympia, WA 98501. Classes will be canceled if minimum number of students are not registered. Registering early helps us prepare and offer the highest quality experience for everyone and there is no risk: Full refunds are provided if classes are canceled.   The Arbutus Folk School proudly admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
