Class Description: On the first day of the class, students will make arrows in the traditional British method using hand-tied feathers and a variety of shaft materials ranging from a $1 poplar dowel from Lowe’s to $4 Port Orford cedar shaft. We will use both purchased archery feathers which students will cut by hand and full turkey feathers which students will strip and cut. Students can make up to 5 arrows in the day.
On the second day students will make a traditional leather back quiver (just like the one Robin Hood uses). Using cow leather you will learn basic leather working skills needed to craft the arrow quiver.
Please bring $20 at the start of class to pay instructor for materials. Bring a notebook for note taking.
